Mayamiko Nkoloma is a Lecturer in Telecommunications at the University of Malawi, the Polytechnic. He is a holder of an MSc in wireless communication from University of Sheffield in UK and also holds Master of Technology degree in advanced Information Technology with specialisation in Telecommunications and Networking from International Institute of Information and Technology (I²IT) in Pune, India. Additionally, he obtained a BSc in Electrical Engineering from the Malawi Polytechnic.
Using his extensive knowledge and experience in Telecommunications and computer programming, his objective is to provide solutions through which beneficial, affordable and reliable up – to – date Information and Communication Technology (ICT) services can be derived, implemented and sustained to meet communication demands of people in developing countries. Apart from this he likes building technological solutions with an aim of solving challenges and make life better.
He is a proprietor of iMoSyS a start-up company which is championing deployments of Internet of Things (IoT) applications to enable connectivity for remote monitoring of Industrial processes, infrastructure and environmental aspects. The firm is pioneering in the development of smart water management system which is being adopted by water utility companies in Malawi, for example Lilongwe Water Board and Blantyre Water Board.
He is also a team leader of a project that is being conducted in the Ministry of Health - Malawi on eHealth for community intervention which is aimed at reducing Tuberculosis (TB) cases by enhancing the current system through the use of technology to enable tracking of the flow of TB samples from the community level up to point of treatment initiation. This project is funded by World Bank and the solution is being piloted in 20 health facilities across the country with room for extending to more facilities. Remarkably, the solution is built on top of mobile communication and web based platforms through the use of open source tools.
Mayamiko Nkoloma’s solutions he has developed are not only adopted locally in the country Malawi, but have find themselves being embraced by big corporations across the world, for example in Kuwait and United Kingdom (UK). Mayamiko Nkoloma has received numerous local and international awards. Notably he was awarded by ICT Association of Malawi (ICTAM) for being innovative by applying ICTs in the field of technology. Apart from this, recently he received a national innovation award in the field of Science and Technology. In 2017 he received an award at International Telecommunication Union (ITU) world for providing and promoting innovative ICT solutions with social impact.

Victoria is a seasoned banker by profession currently working as Head of Commercial at Ecobank Malawi Limited. Her primary roles include but are not limited to the effective management of Commercial Banking portfolio which comprises of Local Corporates, Small and Medium Enterprises, Public Sector. She also looks after the Personal Banking Segments, Sales and Marketing, e Banking and Card Division. Aside from this, she also co-ordinates all the relevant business sectors, products, services and resources within these market segments in order to achieve the agreed sales volume targets, revenues and profitability and general business and customer engagement goals.
Akani Kumbukani Namanja
Akani has over 12 years’ experience in Projects implementation and Management having joined from the Building Services and Construction Industry. His primary roles include implementing right processes & practice for iMoSyS. His specific duties include formulating strategy, improving performance, procuring materials, & resources, formulating strategic and operational objectives, managing budgets, training and supervising staff. He also works with Directors to determine values, mission and plan for short and long-term gains.

A self-motivated ICT professional with over 9 years diverse experience in implementation and management of strategic ICT initiatives that improve business processes and profitability. Exceptionally skilled in implementing and managing service provider in systems and networks, project management and leadership.
