Oxygen
Locally produced medical grade oxygen for Malawian healthcare facilities.

About
iMoSyS has established a locally operated medical oxygen production plant in Blantyre, Malawi, designed to help address the country’s ongoing shortage of reliable medical oxygen. Building on more than 15 years of experience in technology, industrial automation, IoT monitoring and healthcare systems, iMoSyS has applied this expertise to the production and monitoring of medical oxygen.
By producing oxygen locally in Blantyre, iMoSyS provides healthcare facilities with a more responsive and locally accessible source of medical oxygen, reducing reliance on externally sourced supply and cross-border logistics. The facility also incorporates IoT-enabled remote monitoring, allowing critical parameters such as oxygen concentration, ambient temperature and manifold pressure to be continuously monitored, with alerts and production data available remotely.
The plant was inspected and approved by the Pharmacy and Medicines Regulatory Authority (PMRA) in August 2026 to manufacture medical oxygen for the Malawi market, with the inspection finding the facility compliant with WHO Good Manufacturing Practice requirements.

Comprehensive overview of what we offer.
We design oxygen plants around what a facility actually needs. We look at daily oxygen demand, cylinder sizes, available space and power supply, then plan the Pressure Swing Adsorption system, filling manifold and storage area to match. The result is a plant that fits the site and delivers medical-grade Oxygen 93 Percent.
Our engineers install the full system, including the compressor, air treatment, dual-bed PSA vessels, collection tank and cylinder filling stations. Piping, electrical work and safety fittings are done to a clean, oil-free standard so the oxygen stays pure from the first day.
Before the plant goes live, we test every part of it. We check pressures, valve cycling and oxygen purity against the 93% (±3%) standard, and we verify that the monitoring systems report correctly. We hand over only when the plant is ready for regulatory inspection and daily production.
We maintain plants based on running hours, not the calendar. Compressor servicing, zeolite sieve life and valve inspections are tracked against actual use, so work is done when it's needed. Automated alerts warn us of upcoming service milestones, which keeps downtime low.
A good plant needs a confident team. We train operators in daily plant operation, safe cylinder handling, contamination prevention and record keeping. Staff learn to run inspections, read the monitoring dashboard and respond to alerts, so the plant stays safe and audit-ready.
Built on our IoT expertise, sensors track temperature, oxygen concentration and manifold pressure around the clock. The dashboard can be viewed from anywhere, so alerts reach the right people whether or not someone is on site. Customers can also see the production data behind the cylinders they buy.
What We Offer
Clients bring their own cylinders, any size from 5L to 50L, for refilling at our facility.
50L cylinders available for monthly rental. Clients sign a Rental Agreement covering liability for damage or loss. No deposit required
Clients renting our cylinders return empties for refilling at the standard rate.
Contract customers receive full cylinders and have empties collected on an agreed cycle.

Because our oxygen is produced here, supply does not depend on cross-border freight, and replenishment is measured in hours instead of days. Our prices are set and held in kwacha, so your supply budget does not move with the exchange rate. And being in Blantyre means we can respond when a facility runs short unexpectedly, which is when oxygen matters most.
A 50L refill costs MWK 260,000, well below what facilities currently pay.
We produce medical oxygen from ambient air at our own plant, so supply stays close to the facilities that need it.
Prices are held in kwacha, which makes budgeting for oxygen supply predictable.
Our plant is monitored continuously, and customers can see the production data behind the cylinders they buy.
We bring full cylinders to you and collect the empties, so your staff spend less time on logistics.
We are based in Blantyre and run by the people who own the business, so decisions and responses are quick.
